There are some great features to this year’s event:
Speed Week Time Trials: This year, Balfour and Under Armour are sponsoring a time trials event on Tuesday, October 4th. Between 4:30 and 6 PM, teams will be encouraged to have one runner complete the fastest lap around the Quad possible. Each participant will receive an Under Armour t-shirt and the fastest male and female runner will receive a free class ring from Balfour.
Showing of Brian’s Song: Hit the Bricks and Student Union will present the movie Brian’s Song on Wednesday, October 5th. Come out to the Quad at 9pm to enjoy a night with friends and learn about the life of the late football star, Brian Piccolo.
Congrats to last year’s participants who helped to make this event a huge success! We managed to complete 20,008 laps with 67 teams. The fraternity division was won by Lambda Chi Alpha. The sorority division was won by Delta Delta Delta. Tri Beta Babcock took home the win for the freshmen division. Anthony Aston Players were the winners in the open division. Last, but certainly not least, IS Leadership and PMO won the faculty/staff division. Our two winners for the Under Armour Speed Week Time Trials were Jeff Shirley and Margaret Gelburd.
